Roy E. Hostetler DENVER -- Services for Roy E. Hostetler Jr., 77, Denver, will be held at 2 p.m. Friday in McClain Funeral Home. He died at 9:20 p.m. Monday, Jan. 14, 2002, in Logansport Memorial Hospital, surrounded by his family. Born July 3, 1924, in Liberty Township, Howard County, he was the son of Roy E. and Doris W. Lindley Hostetler.He was never married. Mr. Hostetler graduated from Chili High School in 1943.Later that year, he entered military services as a rifleman and served in the northern Solomon Islands and southern Philippines until 1945.Upon his return home, he attended Pennsylvania Institute in Philadelphia, receiving his electrical technician degree in 1949.He worked as a journeyman electrician for Nussbaum's Electric in Fort Wayne until 1965.In 1992, he retired as electrical maintenance man from Haynes International, Kokomo. Surviving are two brothers, Bill and his wife, Evelyn, Mexico, and Robert, Sharpsville; one sister-in-law, Ruth Ann Hostetler, Logansport; and eight nieces and nephews. His parents and one brother, Eugene, preceded in death.
