It is with pride and thanksgiving that I officially announce the hiring of Mrs. Rosetta J. Dunham as the 1st Executive Director of the Women's Home and Overseas Missionary Society of the African Methodist Episcopal Zion Church.
During the WHOMS 28th Quadrennial General Convention, held in Orlando Florida July 2015, a resolution was brought forth and passed to make the position of Executive Secretary a hired position and changing the name to Executive Director. The Resolution was overwhelmingly passed. Upon completion of the hiring process, with two applicants being vetted, Mrs. Dunham received the majority of the affirmative votes. Mrs. Dunham brings to the office of Executive Director a wealth of experience. She was tutored in the office of Executive Secretary for four (4) years under Mrs. Alice Steele-Robinson, who served from 1995 to 2003. Mrs. Dunham served as the Executive Secretary from 2003 to 2015. We thank God for Mrs. Dunham.
