Vice President, Employee Resource Management
Rosemarie Fernandez was named vice president, Employee Resource Management in September 2013.
reports to the chief human resources officer and executive vice president.
In this role, she
will be responsible for directing USPS talent acquisition and retention programs, training and development, diversity, personnel services, selection, safety, and health and medical programs.
will be responsible for managing Human Resources Shared Services, organizational design and workforce effectiveness and the USPS ergonomics and risk reduction program.
Prior to being named vice president, Employee Resource Management, Fernandez served as manager, San Francisco District.
A 35-year postal employee, Rosemarie began her career as a clerk in Van Nuys, CA, and served from 2000 to 2004 as Postmaster of San Francisco.
A Lean Six Sigma executive green belt, Fernandez
was named national District Manager of the Year by the Postal Customer Council organization
in September 2011.
also received a Vice President's award from the Postal Service and was named as one of the "Most Influential Women in the Bay Area" by the San Francisco
