Dean of the Faculty of Animation, Arts and Design
Ronni Rosenberg completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Toronto in art and art history.
After receiving an MFA in photography and printmaking from Pratt institute, she accepted a position in the Fine Art Department at the State University of New York at Stony Brook to design and develop the photography and printmaking studios in their newly constructed facility.
While at Stony Brook, she was an active lecturer in those programs, while also widely exhibiting her work in public and private galleries.
Ronni pursued a second graduate degree, completing a Master's of Architecture at SUNY / Buffalo in 1984, and then joined the architectural practice at Quadrangle Architects in Toronto.
completed many single residential and multi-use projects.
also pursued a longstanding passion for educational innovation and worked with the North York Board of Education
to develop an inter-disciplinary architectural curriculum for secondary schools.
She has presented widely at architecture and design conferences, and published work for numerous organizations and publications such as AIGA Journal, Association of Collegiate Schools of Architecture and Jerusalem Report.
taught for a number of years in the York / Sheridan Joint Program in Design pursuing her
particular interest in developing a language and literacy in the built environment and integrating that into a general design education.
She has served as a board member for various arts organizations including the Oakville Gallery, and has sat on the Toronto Public Art Commission for a number of years.
She is a member of the Ontario Association of Architects and is a Registered Graphic Designer of Ontario.
In 2007, she was invited to join the administrative team of the Faculty of Animation, Arts and Design, and in 2010 she assumed the role of Dean.
