Ron Martin has held high profile positions in law enforcement and government security for more than 30 years, and has authored specifications for numerous government security initiatives. While on active duty he served as Military Comptroller, Provost Marshal, Security Manager and a Doctrine Literature Writer and Instructor. In between tours of active duty he served 5 years as a civilian police officer in the Commonwealth of Virginia. He currently serves on the Security Industry Association and ASIS International Standards Committees. Ron holds an Associate of Applied Science degree from Northern Virginia Community College, a Bachelors degree from George Mason University and a Master of Science degree from Frostburg State University. The Governor of the Commonwealth Kentucky designated Ron in 1990 an Honorary Kentucky Colonel for his service to the Commonwealth. In 2005 the Georgia Senate in Senate Resolution 439 recognized and commended Ron for his outstanding service to Augusta/Richmond County, Georgia. Ron also serves as the Executive Director for the Open Security Exchange.
