State RACES Coordinator and ARRL State Civil Defense (SCD) Emergency Coordinator Ron Hashiro, AH6RH, reports he received an alert from the SCD automatic notification system at 6:41 PM and alerted key ham radio volunteers.The general amateur population on Oahu was notified via the 146.88 MHz Diamond Head repeater."Amateurs statewide continued their preparations, tested equipment, activated nets and prepared for further action," Hashiro told ARRL.
