Whether or not the passports turn out to have had anything to do with the flight disaster, security expert Gunaratna says MH370's fate highlights the need for governments to better coordinate in sharing information on stolen or lost passports.
"Aviation is the most sensitive security domain of all, and there's clearly been a glaring flaw in the security system because no one should be able to board a flight on someone else's passport," says Gunaratna.
