Roger Feneley is an emeritus consultant urologist to the North Bristol NHS Trust and Visiting Professor at the University of the West of England (UWE). Roger Feneley, MA, MChir, FRCS, DSc (Hon) Professor Feneley was in clinical practice as a consultant urologist in the UK from 1969 to 1998. In 1972 he established the Urodynamic Unit in Bristol which introduced not only a new approach to the diagnosis and treatment of lower urinary tract disorders, but exposed the prevalence and causes of urinary incontinence. The conservative management of intractable incontinence in older and disabled people has presented a particular challenge to him. Through the foundation of the BioMed Centre in 1998 and Alternative Urological Catheter Systems Ltd in 2009, a major program of research and development was initiated within this field of healthcare. Professor Feneley is Emeritus Consultant Urologist to the North Bristol NHS Trust, Visiting Professor to the University of the West of England, and Managing Director Alternative Urological Catheter Systems Ltd.
