After earning his Bachelor's Degree from UCLA's Playwrighting program in 1982, Rod McFadden took a brief hiatus (26 years) from writing. But in early 2009, he returned to writing full time, choosing to focus again on playwriting. He has completed half a dozen one-acts and one full-length play, with staged and developmental readings at Broadway West, Playwrights Center of SF, and Pacifica Table Readers. Rod serves on the Board of Directors for the Playwrights Center of SF, as well as teaches in the masters program at the Academy of Art University in San Francisco.

Rod McFadden earned his BA from UCLA's Playwriting program in 1982, and then took a 26 year hiatus from writing to have a tragically successful career in retail management. In early 2009, he returned to writing full time, again focusing on playwriting. Since then, his plays have been well-received by Bay Area audiences of Broadway West, The Playwrights Center of SF, Wily West Productions, The Eugene O'Neill Foundation, Fringe of Marin, and PlayGround SF. Rod serves on the Board of Directors for the Playwrights Center of SF, as well as teaches in the masters program at the Academy of Art University in San Francisco.

Rod McFadden began writing plays in 2009. He has received awards in national and international playwriting competitions for his plays, Love Birds, Counting on Love, Getting the Message, and Beyond Where the Horizon Lies. His full length play, Hope's Last Chance, will be premiered by Wily West Productions in October 2013. Rod serves on the board for the Playwrights Center of SF, and teaches in the masters program at the Academy of Art University.

Rod McFadden (Man's Best Friend): Rod McFadden began writing plays in 2009. He has received awards in national playwriting competitions for his plays, Love Birds, Counting on Love, and Getting the Message, and was chosen for the People's Choice award at the 2012 inspiraTO Festival in Toronto. In addition to successful productions at theatres near his home in the San Francisco area, Rod's plays have been seen at dozens of theatres around the country, including four times previously with PRT ("Prosperity," "The Test of The Touchstone," Lost and Phoned, and "Extra Cherries"). Rod serves on the Board of Directors for the Playwrights Center of SF, as well as teaches in the masters program at the Academy of Art University in San Francisco.
