Robyn Landry, APR, EVP Quality and Healthcare
is responsible for the American Heart Association's national communications and health outreach program. She
staff direct national Public and Media Relations, Positioning and Branding, Advertising, Internal Communications, Media Advocacy programs, Food Certification, Consumer Publications
, Cause Communications, and Health and Communications Consultation to affiliates, and Cultural Health Initiatives.
Robyn joined the American Heart Association's Maryland Affiliate in 1989. She was promoted to the AHA's National Center in 1995 as Director of Communications for the Washington, D.C., media market, including communications support to the national advocacy program. She also served as Vice President of Communications for the Mid-Atlantic Affiliate before moving to Dallas to become Director of Corporate Communications in 1998, then Vice President of Communications in 1999 and Executive Vice President in 2004.
Before joining the AHA, Robyn worked at a Baltimore public relations and advertising agency, with accounts ranging from tourism to banking to real estate. She also worked in communications and marketing for the Maryland Science Center and spent several years managing public relations and fund raising for the National Kidney Foundation of Maryland.
Robyn is an accredited member of the Public Relations Society of America, and has served on a variety of PRSA committees.
She was president-elect of the Maryland Board of Directors before relocating to Washington, D.C.
