His play Anung's First American Christmas received 4 "Top Ten" citations for its 2009 world premier. His poetry, fiction, and nonfiction (more than 100 publications) have appeared in Paris Review, Epoch, International Poetry Review, Rosebud, Other Voices , and numerous national and international journals. He is co-founder of Chicago's acclaimed Vitalist Theatre Company and Director of Creative Writing at Knox College, whose literary magazine, Catch, has won 9 national and international awards. He is a graduate of Princeton University and the Iowa Writers Workshop.
