The Southern Ohio Adult Soccer Association
proudly announces Roberto Van de Wyngard
as the recipient of the 2012 Referee Lifetime Achievement Award.
has officiated games throughout Central and North America, including tournaments in Honduras as far back as in 1993.
Since coming to this coutry with the U S Air Force, he has worked at the Youth, Adult, College and Major League Soccer levels.
Though still officiating, he
has made time to lend his
many talents as an administrator and leader to off the field achievements.
was the author of the first USSF Entry Level Referee Course that was introduced by Pat Smith.
While stationed in Nebraska, he was the President of the State Referee Program.
He has served Southern Ohio as an Instructor, Assessor, Assignor and Mentor.
He was the State Director of Instruction for several years.
has assisted as a translator for the Southern Ohio Adult Soccer Association and the Ohio South State Referee Committee during interactions with the Hispanic soccer community.
He often has been a translator for CONCACAF officials participating in international matches held at the Crew Stadium.

has done for our game.
