Withers & Withers, P.C. is excited to welcome its newest attorney, Robert Withers.
Robert is an Eagle Scout who graduated from Highland Park High School in 2005.
After high school, Robert attended Texas A&M University where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Agricultural Economics in three years.
While at A&M, Robert served in various leadership roles in the freshman orientation program Fish Camp, the 2008 national champion Agricultural Economics Quiz Bowl team, and the freshman leadership organization Freshman Aggies Spreading Traditions (FAST).
After graduating from A&M in 2008, Robert attended law school at the Texas Tech University School of Law in Lubbock, Texas.
was involved in the student advocacy program Board
of Barristers while also interning at the Lubbock County Criminal District Attorney's Office.
In December 2010, Robert graduated with a J.D. as well as an MBA from Texas Tech's Rawls College of Business.
Upon graduation from law school, Robert was hired by Lubbock County District Attorney Matt Powell to work at the DA's Office.
While there, Robert
familiarized himself with diverse aspects of criminal law, such as intake and grand jury proceedings, juvenile justice, and appeals.
focused on prosecuting misdemeanor and felony cases, where he
tried over two dozen jury trials.
In 2012, Robert
was awarded the Susan Scolaro Prosecutor of the Year award.
While in Lubbock, Robert was an active member of the Texas Tech chapter of the American Inns of Court, the Rotary Club of Lubbock, and a coach of several national trail advocacy teams at the law school, including the national champions of the inaugural Show Me National Voir Dire competition hosted by University of Missouri - Kansas City School of Law.
