's service to the middle market, so they have expanded the platform to include a greater number of talented bankers an increased experience in specific industries.Prior to founding Brookwood, Mr. Winborne was a Vice President in Goldman Sachs & Co.'s investment banking group in New York.
While at Goldman Sachs
focused primarily on mergers, acquisitions and financings for financial institutions.Prior to joining Goldman Sachs in 1986, Mr. Winborne worked in the investment banking group at Kidder, Peabody & Co., where he was elected Partner in 1985.Mr. Winborne
has more than 25 years of experience in advising senior management teams, boards of directors and business owners on a variety of transactions, including exclusive sales, divestitures, acquisitions, recapitalizations, financings and bankruptcies.He
has established a particularly strong record in fairness opinions and in representing special committees in complex corporate transactions.His industry experience includes business services, distribution, financial services, manufacturing, paper and packaging, retailing, software and textiles.Mr. Winborne earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in english from the University of North Carolina where he was a Morehead Scholar and graduated Phi Beta Kappa.He earned a Master of Business Administration degree from Harvard Business School.
Mr. Winborne lives with his
wife and six children in the Buckhead section of Atlanta, where he
involvement with his
children's schools, sports leagues and church activities.
