ROBERT K. VILLA

Rob is an experienced litigator and appellate practitioner who provides counsel to a wide range of business and individual clients in complex matters throughout Illinois and the country including: commercial and business matters, statutory and municipal law, fraud and deceptive business practices, contract and lending disputes, intellectual property matters, tort liability and insurance.
Rob began his legal career in 1995 with the Illinois Attorney General's Criminal Appeals Division, where he served as lead counsel on appeals before the Illinois Supreme Court, the Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals and Illinois' U.S. District Courts, involving constitutional and statutory construction issues, Illinois' hate crime and death penalty statutes.
After leaving government service, Rob was a litigation partner in the Chicago offices of Rooks, Pitts & Poust LLP and Dykema Gossett PLLC, where he also served as chairman of its summer associate program.
In 2007, Rob
founded The Villa Law Firm LLC
in St. Charles, Illinois where he
practiced until Griffin |Villa |Williams LLP
was formed in 2011.
is admitted to practice before all of Illinois' state and federal courts and has appeared on matters before the state and federal courts of New York, Florida, California, Nevada, Oklahoma, Texas, Georgia, Ohio, Louisiana, Wisconsin and Indiana.
In addition to his
legal practice, Rob
served on the City of Geneva's Plan Commission
(1999- 2002) and as the Regional President for the Hispanic National Bar Association - Region IX (IL,WI, MI, IN).
