Robert L. Pollack, Ph.D.Chairman of the BoardFounder and DirectorDr. Pollack is Professor Emeritus, Department of Biochemistry, Temple University School of Medicine. For more than two decades, Dr. Pollack has studied the dietary effects of amino acids. He has focused much of his research on L-Tryptophan (LT), particularly as it relates to Serotonin Deficiency Syndrome. Dr. Pollack has written extensively on the nutritional use of amino acids and LT. He holds five patents relating to the isolation and formulation of LT. He is also the author of the book, The Pain-Free Tryptophan Diet. During the 1980s his research led to the widespread use of LT as a dietary supplement. As well as being the Chairman of the Board, Dr. Pollack provides scientific and technical direction for the Company.
