Bob Parrish, Director of Music
Bob was born in Trenton, NJ and raised in Hamilton Square, NJ.
He received his Bachelor's and Master's degrees from Trenton State College and his Doctorate from the University of Delaware.
He holds the title Professor Emeritus of Music from The College of New Jersey (TCNJ).
Bob served as Artist Director and Principal Conductor of The Opera Theatre of TCNJ from 1983 - 2005.
He was also Chairperson of the college's Department of Music from 1990-2002.
Bob was appointed Trinity's Director of Music in May 2005.
Before moving to Florida, he
was affiliated with the music programs at Trinity Episcopal Cathedral
served as a conductor of festival services and concerts) and St. Michael's Episcopal Church
in Trenton, NJ. In addition, he has worked with the choirs at St. Mary's Roman Catholic Cathedral
(Trenton, NJ), First Presbyterian Church in Germantown (Philadelphia, PA), St. Alphonse Roman Catholic Church (Dresher, PA) and Our Lady of Sorrows Roman Catholic Church (Mercerville, NJ).
Bob is also an active conductor of opera, music theater and symphony.
As a stage performer, Bob has appeared in more than 45 leading operatic and music theater roles, with regional and touring organizations.
As soloist in cantata and oratorio, Bob
has performed most of the canon of sacred choral masterpieces.
In addition to his work at Trinity, Bob is also Music Director of Bradenton Musica Sacra, the Florida Gulf Coast region's only ensemble dedicated solely to the performance of works based on sacred texts and themes.
