Republicans Gayle Pacheco , a Mt. San Antonio College trustee and wife of termed-out Assemblyman Robert Pacheco , and Diamond Bar Councilman Bob Huff each has raised more than $220,000, according to reports filed with the secretary of state's office. Villa Park Councilman Bill MacAloney started his campaign later than Huff and Pacheco, but he already has loaned his campaign $100,000. Pacheco said it might take as much as $500,000 to win the race. "I would prefer that it not," she said."But if you're looking at the money Huff has, then take a look at what I've got and MacAloney can put in what ever it takes, that's kind of frightening." Pacheco raised $121,716 and loaned her campaign $100,000.Much of her money has come from political action committees. She has $205,360 left. Huff raised $162,939 and loaned his campaign $79,001.He has $235,119. About a third of his campaign contributions has come from the Asian community.
