Wenatchee Valley Medical Center Robert C. Nelson, M.D. » Show Full Biography Dr. Robert Nelson is nothing if not well traveled. "I was a military brat so it's hard to be ‘from' anywhere. We moved around an awful lot, but I spent most of my life in Colorado. That's where I went to junior high, high school, college and medical school." He lost both his parents when he was young. His father, a career Army officer, died when Robert was a young boy and his mother died from breast cancer shortly after he entered high school in 1964. Her death sparked an interest an interest in medicine, but he was also interested in engineering.
