Toccoa Falls, Ga. - The Toccoa Falls College (TFC) Board of Trustees has elected Dr. Robert M. Myers as its seventh president.
has been a part of Christian higher education for nearly 20 years.
Prior to coming to TFC, he served as executive vice president for Academic Affairs at Oklahoma Wesleyan University where he was responsible for academic affairs, the registrar's office, enrollment, financial aid, information technology, and more.
He also was the dean of the Rinker School of Business at Palm Beach (Fla.) Atlantic University and held faculty appointments.
Before entering Christian higher education, Dr. Myers was manager of Information Systems for the town of Palm Beach, Florida, where he was responsible for all computer information systems and strategic planning related to technology issues.
Dr. Myers also served for 12 years as a police officer in Maryland.
held a variety of assignments including patrol officer, polygraph examiner, hostage negotiator, and violent crimes detective.
has spoken to many civic groups about workplace violence and conducts strategic-planning seminars, nationally and internationally.
He has served as a manuscript reviewer for the Academy of Management (Management History Division) and has been published in a variety of journals.
