- Robert May, President, SenArt Films
Local film maker, Robert May, wished to premiere his award-winning documentary at The Kirby Center in Wilkes-Barre and raise $10,000 for Big Brothers Big Sisters. He came to Corcoran Communications to enlist our help in publicizing the event, securing media sponsors and selling tickets. We immediately approached The Times Leader, WBRE TV and Times Shamrock radio stations for help. For several weeks leading up to the premiere, public service announcements on the film and a special Q & A with the producer and director ran in all of the above media outlets. A private, invitation only, dinner was planned at May's home following the premier. Advance publicity in the form of feature articles and news releases were published in all papers. Leading up to the premiere, May was booked on television and radio programs.

The War Tapes, a film by local producer Robert May of SenArt Films, Best Documentary Winner at the 2006 Tribeca Film Festival, is coming to Wilkes-Barre's new RC Theatre Beginning Friday, July 14.
"The War Tapes is currently only opening in larger markets, such as New York City, Boston, Chicago and Los Angeles," said Robert May of SenArt Films.
Produced by Robert May (of the Academy Award winning THE FOG OF WAR) and Steve James (of the Academy Award nominated HOOP DREAMS), THE WAR TAPES is the first war movie filmed by soldiers themselves.
THE WAR TAPES is not a political film in the usual sense, "but in honestly bearing witness to these soldiers' experience, it reveals their politics and opinions candidly, whether they support or oppose their mission," May said.
It will feature Robert May, Sgt.
