Plemenos' complaint faulted both the Greater Morris County Junior School Coaches Association and Robert Fordyce, athletic coordinator for Rockaway Valley since 1982. Fordyce, who has been a member of the 53-team association since 1982 and its treasurer since 1984, said the rules are clear.
"If you're ejected, you have a two-game suspension," he
said."However, since we (the association) only administer tournaments, the first game of his
suspension was Wednesday.
"All of a sudden a year goes by, and all of a sudden he
wants to fight it," Fordyce
said."We had to postpone the games until we had an outcome. This was an absolute wrong deal."
Close game, fierce play
According to court documents, Rockaway Valley
was playing Riverdale on June 6, 2001, when last-inning play grew fierce.
