Robert Edwards President ACI Aircraft Maintenance Robert Edwards started his aviation career in 1967 with Hawker Siddeley Aviation in Manchester, England (now British Aerospace) on the final assembly line.
A move to the airline industry in 1976 set him on the path to a long career in aviation maintenance, not just in England but all over the world.After completing two overseas contracts in Brunei and Malawi, he returned to the UK and joined British Caledonian Airways as an overseas engineer working in many different countries, one which was the USA.
In 1987 he
took a permanent posting in the US and never looked back.During his
time in the US he
has worked or Virgin Atlantic Airways as Maintenance manger USA, responsible for setting up Virgins maintenance operations at all their US destinations.He then worked for British Airways as a Regional Maintenance Manager for East Coast Stations based at Washington Dulles Airport.Edwards
a veteran of aviation maintenance holds both FAA
licenses and is qualified on most wide body aircraft.
