In a nutshell, Robert Brown is a talented musician!
I have had the pleasure of working with Robert
within various musical projects such as dance accompanist for modern dance technique classes, composer for a contemporary work I choreographed, "Certain Acceptance," that premiered in 2007, and as my piano teacher.
In all of these areas I have found him to be one of the rare artists who understands the significance of balanced connection between creativity and structure, between performance and technique, between composition and choreography, and between teacher and student.
Organized yet fluid he
can solve musical challenges and demands so quickly.
music can span a dynamic that is full, rich, and driving into an adage that can capture the essence of lightly falling rain.
can play quirky, and he
can create syncopated rhythms that are captivating!
seems to be centered in life with a work ethic that strives for excellence and perfection.
I have had the honor of working with some wonderful artists, but Robert Brown
has been one of my all time favorite accompanist for ballet.
I find myself referring back to when he
played for me and how he
was able to listen to me explain an exercise and he
would capture the unique rhythm and dynamics of the movement.
I often had to laugh at how perfect his
creation was for the phrase.
Robert W. Brown was Director of Music and conductor for my production of The Wizard of OzÂ, for which he assembled and led a community orchestra.
later composed and performed the score for Euripides The Bacchae a driving primitive accompaniment that supported the actors and dancers.

is a man of great integrity and honesty.
Any who can attract his
attention and energy will never rue the day.
love and belief in music is manifest.
has my admiration and support in any project he
chooses to undertake.
Robert Brown is a fine keyboardist and composer and, in recent years, has become an excellent educator as well.
creative skills and technical knowledge of MIDI recording are outstanding!
I had the privilege of taking lessons for Robert
for nearly three years.
I was an absolute beginner, and the best thing I can say is Robert
listened to my goals, and adapted his
teaching to reach those goals.
Little by little, he
added in many things to expand my knowledge and enjoyment of music.
Robert is an outstanding musician, and it was so much fun to work with him, and to watch him in action in his studio.
I would highly recommend Robert
, regardless of how much experience you might have.
Robert Brown is a great instructor, both in a class setting and in a one-on-one basis.
Robert always received excellent reviews when he taught for the Center for Continuing Education here at the University of North Texas (non-credit classes for adults).
took the time in class to work with each person individually, he
kept the classes fun and challenging, and he
was great at working with different skill levels.
got such good evaluations, I began to take individual lessons, and we worked together for three years.
In that time, he
was patient, always seemed to find new ways to keep my interest up and my skills improving.
moved, I have had two instructors who were good but did not reach the high level of Robert's teaching.
I feel he
challenged me and pushed me just enough to help me grow.
While I never practiced enough, Robert
was patient and skilled enough so that I was able to move on and up through his
is sorely missed!
