as the visiting Salvi Chair in Harp who will take over Ceysson's previously scheduled masterclasses," says Meluk.
"Harp students from the National University of Colombia, Juan N. University Corpas, the University of Calda, Unimusic, Batauta Manizales and Batuta Bogota will have the opportunity to study with Mrs. Gordon-Cartier, an inspiring teacher and accomplished harpist," says Meluk.
Robbin Gordon-Cartier graduated Magna Cum Laude from Montclair State University (New Jersey), with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Music Education.
She is currently completing a Masters in Harp Performance, also at Montclair State University.
As a young harpist, she spent summers in Dublin, Ireland, studying at the Royal Irish Academy of Music.

A teacher in the East Orange School District, Mrs. Gordon-Cartier directs the harp program at the Cicely Tyson School of Performing Arts, where she teachers harp classes to economically disadvantaged young students.
"The low-and middle-income community just outside of New York doesn't have a large tax base to fund its public schools, and buying a harp for a child isn't even a possibility for most of the city's families who struggle just to make ends meet.

dream of teaching harp in the public schools into a reality, building a flourishing harp program from the ground up at Cicily Tyson High School for the Performing Arts

Mrs. Gordon-Cartier is the president of the North Jersey Chapter of the American Harp Society and is a sought-after presenter of workshops across the country.
She also serves as 2nd Vice-President and Director at Large on the Board of Directors of the American Harp Society.
