Robbin Gordon-Cartier graduated Magna Cum Laude from Montclair State University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Music Education. As a young harpist, she spent summers in Dublin, Ireland, studying at the Royal Irish Academy of Music. She was a gold medalist at the Granard Harp Festival in Ireland. In September, 2008 due to the illness of Emmanuel Ceysson, American harpist, Robbin Gordon-Cartier filled in as the visiting Salvi Chair in Harp taking over Emmanuel's previously scheduled masterclasses.
