Rob Weber has become familiar to churches in the United States and Canada as the teacher in the video based discipleship formation series Beginnings. Other works include ReConnecting, ReConnection Worship, Visual Leadership, and Igniting Worship: Communion. He is the founding pastor of Grace Community United Methodist Church in Shreveport, Louisiana, has served as Director of Congregational Development & Transformation in the Louisiana Conference, and is a frequent speaker and teacher at the churches and conferences across the United States and abroad.
Rob Weber is a native of Atlanta Georgia and has lived in multiple regions of the U.S., as well as in Germany and England. On the way to becoming a pastor, he has worked in a wide variety of settings, including construction, cooking, waiting tables, and counseling. This diversity of experience gives him a specific passion for people who are not involved in the church, an understanding of their needs, and a fresh, humorous, down-to-earth style of communicating.
Rob is an adjunct instructor of practical theology at Phillips Theological Seminary where he teaches a course of evangelism, discipleship formation, and congregational development. Rob is currently consulting and coaching with congregations and individuals for growth and revitalization in multiple areas of ministry. Rob, in partnership with Dr. Phil Maynard and Excellence in Ministry Coaching, is facilitating group transformational processes for local churches and conferences to more effectively share the message of the Gospel in the 21st century.
