Apache's strong showing on the finding costs side of the survey is the product of sound technical work, an eye for controlling costs - and individual and team initiative, said Rob Spitzer, Apache Canada vice president for Exploration.
attributed Apache's low finding and development costs to the company's good acreage position, strong technical work and its drive to keep costs down. While other companies may spend too much on seismic, he
will design "fit for purpose" surveys.
But the one element that sets Apache apart from its peers, Spitzer
said, is initiative from the members of the technical teams.
