will have overall responsibility for the management, strategic direction, programmatic, and financial operations of the organization. Mr. Geisel
has served since 1998 as president and CEO of AbilityFirst
(formerly the Crippled Children's Society of Southern California).Headquartered in Pasadena with program sites in five counties, AbilityFirst
is one of the state's oldest social service organizations and presently provides support services to more than 2,000 children and adults with developmental disabilities.Mr. Geisel was previously president and CEO of Recording for the Blind and Dyslexic in Princeton, NJ, and has held executive fundraising positions at Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York City and at Princeton University."Ritchie Geisel's proven track record, results-oriented style and strong leadership qualities make him ideal for the position," says Gordon Gund, Chairman and Co-Founder of The Foundation Fighting Blindness.
