Dr. Rick S. Marion
ick Marion was born and raised in Manhattan, Kansas, and attended Kansas State University for seven years to get his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree and a Master's degree in pathology.
After veterinary school, Rick
spent three years in private mixed practice.
returned to his
academic pursuits in 1985 at the University of Minnesota
, completing a three-year residency in Large Animal Surgery and two additional years as an assistant professor working in the Large Animal Clinic.
Rick then spent six years at the University of Missouri as a food animal clinician and equine ambulatory clinician.
After finding moss growing on the bottom of his
moved on to a private large animal practice in Stearns County, MN, and worked there for four years.
The opportunity to move down the interstate to Anoka Equine
arose in 2002, and he's
been at AE
since that time.
Outside work, Rick
enjoys daily tirades against government spending, taxation and intrusion into the lives of its citizens.
Ingrid lives in Zimmerman with her
, their two children, Ivy and Miles, and their two Golden Retrievers, Iris and Nellie.
enjoys fishing, snowmobiling and hockey.
