Four locations in Jackson Hole lost power for two to three hours after snow- laden trees hit power lines, said Rick Knori of Lower Valley Energy.

...
Power failed south of Indian Paintbrush subdivision, in Red Top, Snake River Ranch and near the intersection of Nethercott Road and Highway 390, Knori said.
The outages were caused by snow-laden tree limbs hitting power lines, Knori said.At 10 a.m. on Friday, crews were still trying to restore power to the radio towers on top of Teton Pass and Snow King, Knori said.
Two electrical disturbances reverber-ated through the valley's power system at 8:30 p.m. on Thursday and 8:30 a.m. on Friday when Bonneville Power Administration lines slapped together, Knori said. The lines, which provide the main current to the valley, crossed at 8:30 p.m.
The lines, which provide the main current to the valley, crossed at 8:30 p.m. near Pine Creek just south of Victor, Idaho, and at 8:30 a.m. near in the Coal Creek area on the west side of Teton Pass.
Knori, the director of engineering for Lower Valley Energy, said power outages were contained to small areas."It didn't affect a lot of customers," he said.
