SAN FRANCISCO, California - December 4, 2012 - Boundary has hired Rick Houlihan to lead its engineering team, which earlier this year launched the industry's first real-time cloud application monitoring system.
All product development, support and operations personnel will report to Houlihan
, who has over 20 years' experience in IT management, most recently at Zenoss
As Vice President of Engineering at Boundary, Houlihan will continue the organization's focus on building solutions that help companies see and respond to cloud application and hybrid IT performance issues before they impact customers.
"This is a fantastic opportunity," said Houlihan
"Rick is a terrific addition to our management team," said Gary Read, CEO at Boundary.
We have created a very powerful platform that is having a meaningful and measurable impact on customers every day, and we are confident that Rick
is the right guy to take our people and products to the next level."
Houlihan joins Boundary from Zenoss, where for two years he was vice president of Engineering driving the delivery of IT Service Management and Service Assurance solutions for virtualized datacenters.
Prior to Zenoss, Houlihan was a software architect at IBM, where he led the implementation of the Meiosys virtual process management software with IBM Systems Director and the implementation of a massively scalable endpoint simulation platform capable of accurately emulating a wide variety of device types, agent protocols, and server side workflows.
The Meiosys technology
was the foundation of the AIX WPAR
Manager, and the simulation platform drove over $10M in cost-efficiency and savings for IBM
in its first 12 months of deployment.
Houlihan has also held executive management positions at Meiosys and Ejasent.
