Long said the housing authority decided to apply for the second grant because they feel the first was successful.It made the area look so much better , he

said there will be a public hearing during the Roanoke Rapids City Council's regular business meeting Tuesday , Aug. 28 at 5 : 30 p.m. to discuss the proposed expansion of the New Town revitalization project.
