Uefa's head of commercial legal services Richard Verow, currently based at the football governing body's headquarters in Lausanne, is leaving to join the International Cricket Council (ICC) in Dubai. The ICC
relocated from Lords to Dubai in August this year.Dubai's tax environment is generating considerable interest among a number of other governing bodies considering relocation. The move for the ICC
makes particular sense, as it places the governing body closer to the majority of its members in countries such as India, Pakistan and Sri Lanka.Verow
, who specialises in advising on TV, sponsorship and ticketing rights, said he
was attracted by the opportunity to join a smaller organisation than Uefa
, as he
would be "closer to the business".
...Verow begins his new role in November after spending three years with Uefa.
