Peters Township School District Athletic Director Richard Relich, 60, of Peters, will be charged with driving under the influence after he was involved in a hit-and-run accident.
Peters Police Chief Harry Fruecht said his department received a bulletin from Kennedy Township police at 11:23 p.m. Tuesday to be on the lookout for Mr. Relich's vehicle.
According to the bulletin, Mr. Relich's
vehicle was involved in an accident earlier in Kennedy, resulting in the injury of a girl who was taken to the hospital.
Chief Fruecht said that his officers could not find Mr. Relich's vehicle at his Gateshead Drive home but did spot it driving southbound on Route 19.

Mr. Relich's car and license plate matched a description given by Kennedy police, and his gold car had front-end damage, Chief Fruecht said.
Chief Fruecht said Mr. Relich will be charged with DUI by summons.

He came to the district in June 2006 after serving as the acting assistant principal and activities coordinator at West Mifflin Area High School.
Neither the district nor Mr. Relich
returned phone calls seeking comment.
