bolsters Higher Education practice Huron Consulting Group, a provider of financial and operational consulting services, has hired Dr. Richard J. Messina as a consultant to the company's Higher Education practice. "Richard has built great experience in an extraordinary career and I am confident his deep knowledge of the field will bring increased capabilities to Huron and the many universities and research institutions that we serve," said Gary E. During more than three decades as a management consultant, Dr. Messina
has served a broad range of enterprises, including many educational, not-for-profit, and scientific organizations.Since 1986, he has been president of the management consulting firm Messina & Graham, which helps clients develop and implement successful strategies, design high performance organizations, and improve operations. Earlier in his career, he was with McKinsey & Company for nearly a decade, providing counsel to the senior executives of major corporations in several industries.Recently, Dr. Messina worked with a prominent Southern university in a two-year strategic planning effort where he advised their Board of Trustees.Dr. Messina received his BS from Boston College, his MBA at Dartmouth's Tuck School and a PhD in physics at Dartmouth College.
