Company attorney Richard Laschever of East Hartford said Matrix considers the publishing of the number a "theft of service."
While Russell's religious denomination was never a factor in the decision to fire him, Laschever
said the advertisement might have been misconstrued as being affiliated with the company.Calls to the number listed in the ad are all routed through a main switchboard.
"People are entitled to their own private views or religions and may practice it privately any way they see fit," Laschever
said."We do not endorse or support atheism as an organization."
Any further publication of the company number for personal use may be subject to legal action, Laschever
