Prior to founding Dahab Associates in 1986, he was a vice president at Merrill Lynch running its investment consulting service in the Mid-Atlantic States and a principal at A.S. Hansen (now part of Mercer). Rich earned an AB degree in astrophysics (cum laude) from Princeton University in 1973 and an MBA degree in finance from Fordham University in 1978. He received the designation of Chartered Financial Analyst in 1981.

Richard Dahab finished his term as Seatuck’s President, a term during which the organization made considerable progress in expanding its policy and educational work.
Most prominently, Rich oversaw the grand opening and ribbon cutting of the Suffolk County Environmental Center on Earth Day, April 22, 2010. Rich played a central role in negotiating and finalizing Seatuck’s long-term custodial contract with Suffolk County to operate the facility. He also oversaw the expansion of Seatuck’s role in conservation policy and research, including the initiation of the Puleston Policy Project through the partnership with the Environmental Defense Fund. Rich, who lives in Brightwaters and is the President of Dahab Associates, Inc., an investment consulting firm, will continue to serve as an at-large member of the Board of Directors.
