I had a chance to speak with coach Rich Savage tonight, and here's what I took away from the conversation.

The Garnets coaching staff put some time into game planning and scouting for this matchup.

It was one of the those days where everything went our way.
I think we just created a couple more scoring opportunities.
We really shut their players down and limited their scoring chances."
From the beginning of the season, it was clear that Savage
went out of his
way to put together the toughest schedule of any Section 1 team.
was supposed to be the high point, but they have plenty of tough games ahead, including a matchup against North Rockland on Oct. 9.
