Revai brings to the JASS Board a valuable range of expertise in human and women's rights, and in gender equality, with a legal as well as practical slant. She has worked for the Dutch development and funding organisation HIVOS, the United Nations Development Programme in Zimbabwe, and Zimbabwe Women Lawyers Association, engaging with civil society to challenge human rights abuses and gender injustice in Zimbabwe and the Southern Africa region.
Underpinning Revai's work on civil and legal rights is a solid academic platform: she holds a Masters of Human Rights Law from the University of Pretoria, a Masters in Women's Law from the University of Zimbabwe, and a certificate in human rights advocacy from Columbia University, New York. Revai is currently undertaking her doctoral studies with the University of Pretoria looking at women's participation and organising in political/legal processes of constitution making in Zimbabwe and Kenya. A member of the African Feminist Forum, and the African Network of Constitutional Lawyers , Revai has served on the boards of several women's rights organisations.
Revai's interests include community organising work especially with young women and sex workers. Revai has skills in fundraising and programming and is passionate about women's organising and activism that pushes boundaries.
