Renee McKinney (Tap Instructor)
Renee McKinney received her BFA in Performing Arts from Western Kentucky University. She has directed and choreographed countless productions for Cumberland County Playhouse as well as having performed in Cats, 42nd Street, Grease, Music Man, Anything Goes, Little Me and Hello Dolly just to name a few. Renee has studied all forms of dance, but holds a special passion for Tap and Musical Theatre. The past 2 summers Renee has attended the Dance Teacher Summit in NYC, continuing to learn from some of the nations top Dance Educators. Renee has 16 years of teaching experience with all ages including adults in the Tennessee area. She is excited about returning to FSPA after a 3 year break. Renee's energy and enthusiasm for dance shows in all her classes!

Renee has a BFA in performing arts from Western Kentucky University. Her professional performances include the off-Broadway cast of Cowgirls in California. As 'Mo' in that musical, Renee toured internationally. Prior to that, Renee played 'Jeannie Coyne Kelly' in the production of Gene Kelly in Gainesville, Florida, ane 'Phyllis Dale' ad well as understudy to Peggy Sawyers in 42nd Street.
At the Cumberland County Playhouse, a professional theater in Tennessee, Renee has performed 'Minnie Fay' in Hello Dolly!, 'Potiphar's Wife' in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, 'Erma' in Anything Goes, 'Frenchy' in Grease, 'Belle Shlumpfert' in Little Me, and 'Tzeitl' in Fiddler on the Roof, and 'Rumpleteaser' in Cats. Renee has worked in the capacity of director and choreographer for the Cumberland County Playhouse in their 2003 production of Cats. She played an evil troll in her film debut of Ernest Scared Stupid with Jim Varney. Renee has taught dance for over ten years at a multitude of schools and studios throughout middle Tennessee. She joined the FSPA faculty in 2001.
