Plans for our November 21 Shabbat celebration with Rachel and Rebekka Dohme of the Juedische Gemeinde of Hameln (www.jghreform.org) We hope members of our congregation as well as other Rochesterians interested in the revival of the Reform movement in Germany will want to contribute toward the installation of the Aron Hakodesh of the new synagogue of Hameln. These and related concerns will be addressed by our visitors: Rebekka Dohme, now a student at Barnard College, born in a village outside Hameln.Rebekka was coached by her Mom and by itinerant rabbis and cantors to use her melodious voice to musically express our Hebrew liturgy.
