Mr. Robert Unanue, President, and Mr. Peter Unanue, Executive Vice President, both of Goya Foods Inc., the nation's largest Hispanic-owned food company, proudly announce the appointments of Miguel Lugo, Carlos Ortiz and Rebecca Rodriguez-Llerena as Vice Presidents of Goya Foods, Inc.
Effective immediately, Mr. Miguel Lugo, Jr. is Vice-President of Finance, Mr. Carlos Ortiz is Vice-President & General Counsel and Ms. Rebecca Rodriguez-Llerena is Vice-President of Logistics.
Newly-named Vice President of Logistics, Ms. Rebecca Rodriguez-Llerena has literally grown up with Goya Foods.
Ms. Rodriguez-Llerena, who has been with the company for over 35 years, began working for Goya during the summers and after school as a high school student growing up in Bergenfield, N.J.
father, the late Israel (Lelo) Rodriguez enjoyed a stellar 37-year career at Goya Foods
established the Traffic Department and served as its Vice President, until his
retirement in 1982.
In her new capacity as Vice President of Logistics, Ms. Rodriguez-Llerena is charged with the oversight of Goya's 320,000 square foot warehouse based in Secaucus, N.J.
daily responsibilities include supervising over 150 warehouse employees and working with approximately 40 drivers making deliveries to New York, New Jersey, Connecticut and Pennsylvania destinations.
also arranges inter-company transfers between Goya warehouses and retail destinations.
In her years with Goya she has enjoyed a diverse work experience, having held a variety of positions in Purchasing and Credit, as well as distinguishing herself as Accounts Payable Manager for 20 years prior to entering the Traffic department.

Ms. Rodriguez-Llerena is a graduate of Edward Williams College, where she earned a B.A. in Psychology.
In addition, she holds an MSW from Fairleigh Dickinson University.
