...WASHINGTON, June 15 /PRNewswire/ -- The Washington Convention Center Authority (WCCA) announced today that Reba Pittman Walker has been named chief executive officer and general manager.Ms. Walker has been the acting general manager for the last six months.Now as the permanent CEO and GM she will continue her responsibilities of setting the strategic direction for the organization and ensuring the delivery of superior customer service.

...Previously, Ms. Walker was vice president of convention center sales at Volume Services America, a leading provider in food and management services for convention, entertainment and sporting venues.Additionally, Ms. Walker's professional experience encompasses time in public service including two political appointments by former President Clinton to the position of deputy chief of staff to the Secretary of Agriculture and as the acting assistant secretary for administration in the Department of Agriculture.
