Kashyap "Kash" Katwala recently joined Dr. Raza Hamdani
of Advanced Gastroenterology and are now both on staff at Valley West Community Hospital.
are practicing Gastroenterologists (GIs) specialize in the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of conditions affecting the esophagus, stomach, small intestine, colon, pancreas, gallbladder and liver.
Dr. Hamdani has been practicing for 16 years, and previously served as an assistant professor of medicine at the Loyola University Medical Center, where he helped launch the liver transplant program.
He also was associate director of liver diseases and liver transplantation at the Southern New Jersey Regional Transplantation Center, where he led the program to national certification.
He currently is a clinical assistant professor with the Department of Medicine at University of Illinois.
He attended medical school at the College of Medicine University of Lagos, Nigeria, and completed his residency at Cook County Hospital in Chicago.

Dr. Hamdani and Dr. Katwala are also on staff at sister hospital, Kishwaukee Community Hospital in DeKalb.
