Dole-Central Luzon Director Raymundo Agravante said that World Safety Day is aligned with the Central Luzon Occupational Safety and Health Network's campaign for a safety and healthy workplace.
It is, he
added, anchored on the theme "Safety and Health in the Use of Chemicals at Work," a major pre-Labor Day activity of Dole-Central Luzon in line with this year's 112th Philippine Labor Day Celebration themed "Sa Sipag, Tiyaga at Talino, Buong Mundo, Saludo sa Manggagawang Pilipino."
"We are celebrating this year's World Safety Day to reaffirm our continuous commitment with the CLOSHNET, in promoting Occupational Safety and Health at the workplace.
Aside from this, we are commemorating this upcoming event to our hardworking workers here in Central Luzon, especially those who lost their lives while working at the workplace," Agravante
The gathering will be participated in by the different safety and health officers and practitioners from different companies all over Central Luzon, as well as other stakeholders concerned about safety and health in workplaces.
World Safety Day, Agravante
disclosed, will kick-off at 7 a.m. at the regional office with an Occupational Safety and Health advocacy motorcade and will be followed by the distribution of personal protective equipment to selected construction workers in on-going projects within this city.
