RAYMOND OSCAR REISTADRaymond Oscar Reistad was born on March 22, 1917, in Powers Lake, ND, to Oscar and Rosetta Reistad. Raymond is survived by his wife, Nell, their daughter Karen Reistad McLeod, granddaughter, Alyssa Givens, and two great-granddaughters, Kyla Ranell Givens and Mariah Rose Givens.Raymond served his country in the U.S. Army during World War II.He graduated from Minot State Teachers College and later received a masters degree from Whitworth College in Spokane, WA. He began his career as a teacher and then spent many years working for the U.S. Air Force, first as a principal at dependents schools in France, Spain, England, Italy, France and Libya, then with adult education programs for the Air Force in Germany and at the Pentagon. He retired from the Pentagon in 1981 and moved first to Sequim, WA, and then to Port Angeles, WA. After more than 17 years, Raymond and Nell moved to Ruskin, FL, to be with their daughter.Raymond was always active in his church and spent many years directing choirs.We know that now he will direct a choir of angels.He takes with him the love of his family and we know we will all be together again one day in Heaven.We will miss him every day until then.Search the archived obituaries
