Executive Vice President, Personal Lines
Raymond J. Sprague is executive vice president of The Hartford's Personal Lines.
In this role, he
is responsible for leading the company's auto and homeowners insurance segment which provides insurance protection to individual consumers including AARP.
also serves as the business leader of the company's ComPAS initiative, driving increased automation and improvement in the company's policy administration systems.
Sprague joined The Hartford in 1985 and has held a range of leadership positions in the company.
He most recently served as the executive vice president of enterprise strategy, working closely with the businesses to identify new product and distribution opportunities and other growth initiatives to drive profitable growth.
was previously in charge of the Small Commercial business, which provides insurance solutions to small businesses.
He also served as chief operating officer of HartRe, The Hartford's former reinsurance company, and as head of the property and casualty's strategic business development group.
Sprague, who earned a B.S. in finance and insurance from the University of Rhode Island, is a Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter.
