Rauf Sultanov, professor, president of Fund held a monitoring around questions on bird flu on the bases of sociological form.
Rauf Sultanov, professor, president of Fund, Solmaz Mehdiyeva, the representative of regional organization of ACSDA in Khachmaz region, Shamsaddin Khanbabayev, chief of Khachmaz Executive Power, together with the representatives of Commission on bird flu held a meeting and talked about preventive measures against bird flu in Khachmaz, expected actions and activities in the framework of campaign.
There was a Round Table on April 19, 2006, on the results of monitoring with the participation of representatives of local state bodies, specialists of Siyazan and Davachi regions, the representatives of Commission, NGOs and press.The Round Table was opened by Rauf Sultanov, professor, and president of Fund, he informed on the works and available problems connected with bird flu.He said that, at present, the situation is better, because birds are migrating to north regions of Russia.But, it should be noted that, in connection with spring, migration of wild birds to our country has begun.Ensure of population safety, prevention of people and animals from bird flu virus, educating public about bird flu issues in this field, correct approach to the matter, questions of observance of necessary sanitary-and-hygienic, preventive norms were discussed at the event.
In the Round Table participated Solmaz Mehdiyeva, the representative of regional organization of ACSDA in Khachmaz region, A,Agababayev, the chief of Khachmaz Veterinary Service, S.Gasimov, the chief of Siyazan Veterinary Service, B.Shaverdiyeva and I.Mammadova, doctors of region central hospital, B.Hagverdiyev, the representative of Khachmaz region hygiene and epidemiological center, representative of non-governmental organization M.Mehdiyev, S.Nuriyeva, A.Karimli, the employee of ¹5 Scientific Research Institute and others.
At all events, leaflets of professor Rauf Sultanov on ‘Protect yourself from bird flu!' and placard on ‘Reasons of bird flu in agriculture' prepared by FMESA, ACSDA and Lankaran Veterinary Service, and other placards of international organizations were distributed among participants.

Chairman of the Fund.Rauf Sultanov was born in 1948.Has graduated from Azerbaijan Agricultural Institute in 1971, in 1976 has graduated from purposeful postgraduate study on bee-keeping (Russia, Ryazan oblast).R.Sultanov has upheld PhD thesis in 1977, doctoral thesis in 1995 and gained the degree of doctor of biologic sciences.He is the author of various articles on biology of animals.
R. Sultanov has worked first as assistant, later as senior lecturer in Azerbaijan Agricultural Academy.Continued his work at Scientific-Methodical Center of the Ministry of Education of Azerbaijan Republic and currently works as major research assistant in the Institute of Educational Problems.
R. L. Sultanov has got scientific-methodical experience for 21 years.His published works: 130 scientific and scientific-methodical works, 5 monographs, 7 textbooks, 3 educational supplies, 27 syllabuses and methodical instructions.8 of his articles were published in scientific magazines of Moscow, 20 articles in Ryazan, Orenburg, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan.
R. L. Sultanov provided scientific-research works on biologic and ecologic problems concerning bee-keeping and is the only doctor of this sphere in the republic.He has elaborated 13 technological projects on the production of livestock products and ecology.Submitted processes were approved by the Scientific-Technological Council.
PhD thesis was defended under his supervision.He is the supervisor of 3 PhD students, and of one candidate of degree, currently.Rauf Sultanov is also adviser of two PhD theses.
He is the member of "Biology and Agriculture" sector in Scientific Council of the Ministry of Education of Azerbaijan Republic, also the member of administrative personnel of "Ziyalilar" society.
He was awarded by the diploma of the Ministry of Education of Azerbaijan Republic for his good offices in development and improvement of education.

Rauf Sultanov, professor, president of Fund organized open lecture and held a monitoring around 15 questions on the bases of sociological form on bird flu at school ¹ 6, lyceum ¹ 27 and boarding-school ¹ 2.
In this connection there was carried out a photo monitoring in city central market.It was defined that, there are sold frozen chicken, packed chicken-meat and eggs of Davachi Broiler with special certification.During the monitorings, they met with native population and talked about bird flu.

On action, the ensure of population safety, prevention of people and animals from bird flu virus, educating public about bird flu issues in this field, correct approach to the matter, questions of observance of necessary sanitary-and-hygienic, preventive norms were discussed.The teachers of Azerbaijan Agricultural Academy noted that they have skillful specialists.
