RAQUEL PARTNOY is an Argentinian painter, poet, and essayist of Jewish descent.
Born in Argentina, she
attended for several years the Buenos Aires's workshop of painter, muralist, and teacher Demetrio Urruchúa.
Partnoy's first show was at Van Riel Gallery
in 1965, and she
continued to paint and held exhibitions at diverse venues in Buenos Aires and other cities of her
country until 1994 when she
moved to the United States.
settled in Washington D.C. where she
has offered mural art workshops for teenagers at the Latin American Art Center
in Washington, D.C.
work has been shown at 70 solo exhibits and more than 100 group shows in her
country and the United States.
