He travels the five counties around Louisville, providing therapy and consultation to the intellectually disabled clients, their families and community resources. He earned his doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Spalding University in Louisville Kentucky and his masters and bachelor's degrees from Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana. Dr. Hofer has worked in the mental health field for thirty years. He is certified to provide sex offender treatment in the state of Kentucky and one area of his expertise is dealing with sexual behavior problems. He also has served as the head of quality improvement for one of the largest mental health centers in the country. He has functioned as a supervisor and manager of mental health services prior to him coming to REACH. He is an avid reader, cook and animal rescue advocate. He lives with a five dogs and a pot bellied pig in a historical home in New Albany, Indiana.
